Estimated 2013 Tax Refund Schedule

There are several charts on the Internet that are using information based upon last years tax information to determine when taxpayers will receive their tax refund. The IRS issued guidelines that 90% of filers should expect their return within 21 days. The tax refund schedule will probably be similar in 2014, people may even receive their tax refunds earlier.

Taxpayers should use the IRS online refund check in order to find out the status of their tax return and when the IRS will send their refund by direct deposit or check by mail. You can check your IRS Refund Status to find out how you compare to the 2013 tax refund schedule above.

Tax Refund Schedule

Again, the tax refund schedule above is only an estimate and taxpayers could receive their tax refund much faster or slower. E-filing you tax return with software such as TurboTax and H and R block is one way to ensure that you will get you tax refund quickly. Mailing a tax return will be slower, but once a tax return is being processed by the IRS, a refund could happen any time.

If a refund is not received more than a month after a return has been accepted by the IRS, then it might be advisable to give the IRS a phone call to check on the status. The IRS phone centers will be very busy during tax season and waits my be long. Taxpayers are encouraged to exercise patience when waiting for their tax refunds. The above tax refund schedule will hopefully provide a guideline of when tax refunds will be issued in 2014 for 2013 taxes. Remember that any EITC benefit will be part of a tax refund issued to the taxpayer.
